Start each voyage from a cozy tavern hub, then sail into cursed islands filled with tactical grid battles, strange treasure, risky choices, and enemies that may become allies. Fight smart, bring back what you can, stash your best loot, and return stronger for the next expedition.

At the heart of the tavern waits the Ancient Chest: a mysterious relic that offers quests, unlocks classes, grants long-term bonuses, helps preserve mastered skills, and slowly reveals why the Isles of Vaultara are falling to corruption.

Chest & Compass: Isles of Vaultara blends cozy preparation with dangerous tactical expeditions. Plan your route, know when to retreat, and decide what kind of adventurer you want to become before the next voyage begins.

Tactical Expeditions

• Turn-based, grid-based combat where movement, attack range, terrain, and line-of-sight shape every fight.
• Speed-driven turns let faster units act more often, making timing as important as raw damage.
• Ever-changing islands bring fresh layouts with height changes, traps, treasure chests, barrels, hazards, and enemy spawners.
• Mid-expedition boat visits give you a chance to buy supplies, stash treasure, trade gear, or retreat before pride gets expensive.

Bring Something Back

• Store recovered equipment and supplies at the tavern so future expeditions start with better options.
• Upgrade storage and improve the trader boat by selling valuable finds and parts.
• Complete Ancient Chest quests to unlock classes, choose boons, and strengthen future expeditions.
